The Message behind Inside the Ingate

Wow—premiering Season 2 of Inside the Ingate from the Devon Horse Show was surreal. Watching the show on a big screen, surrounded by riders and fans, was full of nerves, excitement, and pride. It reminded me why I started this docuseries: to show the behind-the-scenes reality of equestrian sports.

This series isn’t about highlight reels or polished perfection—it’s about the real moments: the nerves, the prep, the triumphs, the mistakes. Whether professional or amateur, every rider has a story worth telling, and I wanted to give them a platform to share it in their own voice.

A question I got during the live Q&A really stuck with me: “Who is this show for?” My answer is simple: anyone who wants to see the true story of this sport. From well-known riders to those whose voices aren’t often heard, Inside the Ingate is about authenticity, relatability, and vulnerability—showing what it really takes to compete, succeed, and grow in this world.

Season 2 focuses on the historic Devon Horse Show, capturing not just the competition but the tradition, emotion, and community that make these events so meaningful. My goal is to connect viewers to the real journey behind the sport—and I hope it inspires, resonates, and surprises along the way.
